Wikilog-author-signature
Why Wikilog-author-signature ("$1 (talk)
") is optional? --fryed-peach 15:21, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Probably because I missed "talk" in it... Will be fixed. Siebrand 15:35, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Processor?
What is "processor" in the context of Donate interface-processing-error ("There has been an error processing your request. Please contact Donor Services at <a href="mailto:$1">$1</a>.
") ? --fryed-peach 15:28, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- The "processor" is a remote service that can process the donations. Siebrand 13:02, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Word order problem in Japanese
Fb170af32ed56352380ab1a1d8cbafa6465a0190-from \ (" from \
") has word order problem in Japanese. What leads and follows it? --fryed-peach 13:52, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- I suggest you skip all the messages that you expect have "lego" properties. If possible, please add a note to the /qqq messages about it, and mark that /qqq fuzzy. I have already sent a mail to Brion notifying him that the application has a large number of i18n issues, and I expect many of them to be addressed soon. Siebrand 14:02, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- See [1] for a list of issues that I have already made notes for. Siebrand 14:03, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice. I'll follow your suggestion. --fryed-peach 14:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

missing translation for error message - Special:AdvancedTranslate
I have not found a way to translate the error message "Translation <name> is used more than once for <list>" on Special:Magic. Thanks. Der Umherirrende 19:20, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- In ComplexMessages.php is many untranslatable text --Der Umherirrende 20:06, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Special:Magic - ignore underlines
It is possible to declare two identical special aliase, where only a underline is the different ("special alias" vs. "special_alias"). I think it is a good idee to ignore underlines when checking this. Maybe check also for invalid titles. Thanks. Der Umherirrende 20:40, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- "an_alias" is the same as "an alias" in aliases. Siebrand 23:30, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- I know, but in this version is "PasswordReset = Passwort zurücksetzen" and "Resetpass = [...] Passwort_zurücksetzen", only by removing all underlines I have found that conflict. I think it is better, to get a warning by those aliase. Der Umherirrende 10:30, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

List of problem translations
There used to be a list of translations which had syntax problems such as unmatched brackets, PLURAL in the original, none in the translations, unused variables. I have unfortunately forgotten how to get to this list and for the life of me I can't find it. I feel old. :-( Help! Lloffiwr 16:20, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- I think you mean page Translating:Localization checks. But this page is broken for a long time, unfortunately. See also: Support/Archive/2009/6. --Michawiki 20:24, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

PLURAL support needed in Extension:Wikilog
These messages imho should have PLURAL support:
- Wikilog-pager-newer-n ("
← newer $1
") - Wikilog-pager-older-n ("
older $1 →
")
--Purodha Blissenbach 13:14, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Done Is already supported for $1. Siebrand 15:49, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Documentation questionble
Description MediaWiki:Wikilog-item-more/qqq talks of an URL parameter, while Wikilog-item-more ("→ continue reading...
") includes it in double square brackets. That is contradictive. --Purodha Blissenbach 13:20, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Done I still think that given your activity on this page, and your commit access, you should take more time to sort out issues yourself and not write them here for others to fix. This is not a place to 'keep your todo list', as you have stated before, but a place for users to make issues visible that they have no way of fixing themselves. Siebrand 15:48, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Globalusage-of-file and Globalusage-no-results
"Globalusage-of-file" need plural and "Globalusage-no-results" should have a better format für the wikilink like Globalusage-on-wiki. Thanks. Der Umherirrende 14:16, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Please use one separate haeder per message if the issue differs. Thanks.
- As for Globalusage-of-file: the code does not know the number of results. So I suggest you translate for an undefined number.
- The file name in 'Globalusage-no-results' is properly formatted. It is something like "File:FileName.ext", where the namespace name is in the content language. Nothing wrong with that, as it is the proper reference to the title. Siebrand 15:42, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, next time I will create for each issue one section. Thanks for the other information Der Umherirrende 17:21, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
MediaWiki:Wikilog-comment-by-user
I believe, the message
Wikilog-comment-by-user ("Comment by $1 ($2)

should have GENDER support.

PLURAL in portuguese (pt)
The current implementation of the public member function convertPlural ($count, $forms) Use singular form for zero. in LanguagePt.php is incorrect. Much as in English, in Portuguese (pt) zero takes the plural form (ie. "there are 0 files", not "there is 0 file"). This problem is compounded by the fact that presently many translations are in the form (yielding "there is one file" when, in fact, there are none). What steps need I take to get this corrected? Thanks -- Hamilton Abreu 14:39, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- bugzilla:7309 requested this for pt. Please reopen that issue if you disagree, and please refer to an authoritative source in there if you need to have it changed. I could change this easily by deleting LanguagePt.php, but I prefer having a record of it. Thanks. Siebrand 15:29, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- bugzilla:7309 is false in French: zero has to be singular... requests the opposite for French. Within it, however, the point is correctly stated, as follows: "For example, in English, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and European Portuguese, the plural form is used for zero or more than one, and the singular for one thing only. By contrast, in French and Brazilian Portuguese, the singular form is used for zero.". Is it necessary to reopen it, or did you have another bug in mind? Hamilton Abreu 18:55, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Done mwr:58790. Siebrand 19:18, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Brilliant! Many thanks. Hamilton Abreu 19:32, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
