Translations to Serbo-Croatian

Hey @Vlad5250, thank you so much for creating all these translations for Serbo-Croatian (sh). I come with a question, however: I think we've had a plenty more reason options for page moves on the SH Wikipedia before this translation was created. Do you know where these reasons for page moves were stored before this translation was created? Also, where is "Other reason" from the same dropdown stored so it can be translated too?

Edit: Nevermind, it seems that I falsely remember move page reasons previously existed, although this feature was in fact introduced recently. :)

Hi, you can update the message on shwiki if you want to have more options. Yes, that feature of page-move reasons appeared recently.

Vlad5250 (talk)16:12, 10 January 2023

I'll be updating them both here and there (if I'm the one updating it). It takes quite a while for translations from TranslateWiki to be reflected on the local wiki, which is not great if we need them right away, though.

Translation to Bulgarian

Hi Vlad, I would like to ask you to stop translating to Bulgarian. It seems you're not a native speaker (if you speak the language at all) and it seems you're using machine recommendations and similar translations, which causes more problems and it takes more time to review and fix your translations, that translating them myself. Thank you.

Translation to Bulgarian

Hi Vlad,

A lot of your translations to Bulgarian are far from good, which leads me to the conclution that this language is not native to you. You have introduced a new words to the language, like "приватен" (private), суайп (swipe), etc., while replacing words from the language like "локален" (local) with "местен", which is term that is not used in this context. Also your wording sometimes is messy, which usually means use of machine translation.

I would like to ask you, to stop translating to Bulgarian, because you're doing more damage than actually helping. In the next week or two I will try to review all your translations and fix them.

Transliteration from Macedonian to Croatian

Dear Vlad5250,

Please do not directly transliterate translations from their Macedonian version into the Croatian version. Example: here The two translations are not the same, and it is also not the same when someone tries to use the Macedonian translation as a guideline, and tries to do just that, use it as a guideline - only.

One should translate meaningfully into a language, and not do just pure transliterations. Thanks in advance,

Truly yours,

Bugoslav (razgovor) 20:21, 31. siječnja 2019. (SEV)19:21, 31 January 2019

Macedonian version uses the words e.g. "извршник" or "прилог"; you can contact User:Bjankuloski06 for that.

Vlad5250 (talk)09:00, 1 February 2019

Ah, no, some are our own neologisms we have agreed upon. There are no established terms in many cases, so people use it was it is in English or according to their own finding. There is no official work done on many words, but I've heard opinions that ours are great.

B. Jankuloski (talk)09:38, 1 February 2019

But where did you agree those neologisms?

Vlad5250 (talk)09:48, 1 February 2019

Yes, we have discussed them, and they are all appreciative of them.

B. Jankuloski (talk)22:33, 4 February 2019

The words can also be transformated e.g. into Serbian or Croatian, so we can discuss this too.
