parser functions

Where do we translate parser functions?

פוילישער (talk)16:17, 28 October 2015

Not sure I follow, mind giving link/example? Thank you,

Elitre (WMF) (talk)16:39, 28 October 2015

'#if '#ifexist '#ifequal

פוילישער (talk)23:25, 28 October 2015

You can't translate those.

Stryn (talk)17:07, 2 November 2015

Small correction: You cannot translate those at the moment.

Siebrand10:37, 6 November 2015

Can we translate them now?

Where can we find the translations of keywords, namespaces etc?

Missing messages?

Just wondering where I need to look... The Translathon overall statistics say I am 98% complete, but I can't find any untranslated messages anywhere. I'm thinking I'm missing something basic, but I can't seem to understand what. Any suggestions? :) Thanks!

Warrakkk (talk)17:07, 19 July 2015

I'll ask, but I suspect that those stats are not updated live, so it may take a bit for the real percentage to show up. Thank you!

Elitre (WMF) (talk)17:14, 19 July 2015

I see my progression on https://translatewiki.net In fact it is not immediate, but reasonably I have the counters updated within a few page reload requests. No pb on this side. (... of course you must logon previously).

Christian (talk)18:01, 19 July 2015

The question was not about the translatewiki stats, but about the stats on mediawiki.org and, by the way, on Meta-wiki. The problem with the translation stats updates has been there for a long time already, and now it gets even worse.

I just log under https://translatewiki.net with my user identifiants then click on my user id on the top right corner. In the new page, in the left colum you have the choice to translate or review according to the access right of translation you have subscribed for (this requires previous admin declarations). Also refer to the newsletter which has been emailed to the translators to inform them of the event and which contents valuable urls. Have fun.

Look through all the translation pages, and try to find those that say that the translation is incomplete, while actually it's all done. After you find such a page, do an edit (a real edit, earlier it was enough to do a null one to purge the page) and save the page - you will notice that the translation is 100% complete. The stats are not updated as expected due to some bugs. As for this one, I've already filed a task on phab:T106262

This one shows 98% complete. Do another small edit to make it 100% complete.

Piramidion (talk)20:39, 19 July 2015

Excellent - thank you all. Turns out each subgroup is now at 100%, at the main index at 99% - assuming it's just a matter of waiting for the stats to update. I'm excited to be part of this project!

Warrakkk (talk)01:54, 20 July 2015

Thanks everyone for participating! I'm already planning the next one ;) Stay tuned for updates,

Elitre (WMF) (talk)05:10, 20 July 2015

Thank you very much Elitre for your wonderful work '2015 VE translathon!'

Janak Bhatta (talk)11:30, 7 August 2015

Oh no, thank you all for your hard work and thanks to Benoit and Siebrand for their invaluable support.

When to start? Timeline please as UTC

//Please don't start early!// I enrolled for Tamil language and going to participate from a rural area, India. Will you please furnish the begining and end time in UTC?

Info-farmer (talk)06:33, 15 July 2015

I'm not sure if I'm correct, but since CDT is -5 UTC, then 00:00 CDT is 19:00 UTC the-day-before. So, July 14th, 19:00 UTC - the translathon starts, July 19th, 19:00 UTC - it ends. Correct me, if I'm wrong.

Piramidion (talk)09:07, 15 July 2015

During Wikimania's week in July - Wednesday 15 to Sunday 19 included (CDT)[[1]] CDT is Central Daylight Time Please check the provided link for time definition: http://www.timeanddate.com/time/zones/cdt and use the dynamic map at:http://www.timeanddate.com/time/map/ to evaluate your needs. Now it is 12:43 in Paris at midday, and the CDT clock says it is 5:43 in the morning. Regards. Christian France.

Christian (talk)10:43, 15 July 2015

Thanks indeed both of you.
