MediaWiki:Timedmedia-actions

Hello, I reverted your modification of "MediaWiki:Timedmedia-actions/fr" which was probably a handling mistake, as it was not in French at all, but looked a lot like your edit of "MediaWiki:Timedmedia-actions/shn". Cheers --

Numbered list

Hi!

Thank you for your translations into Shan!

How should numbered lists appear in the Shan Wikipedia? With 12345, with ႑႒႓႔႕, or with ၁၂၃၄၅?

Amir E. Aharoni (talk)11:18, 18 January 2022

၁၂၃၄၅ please. We have been using for many years, so we want to keep using it. Thanks.

Saimawnkham (talk)11:27, 18 January 2022

As a child, I lived with the Shan people, I am fluent in Shan speaking, but I learned very little about Shan literature, so I know very little about Shan literature, so I have never seen Shan people use this ၁၂၃၄၅ numbered in the Shan language, so I have never seen this ၁၂၃၄၅ numbered used in Shan literature, See this link for Shan alphabet proofs, thanks.

Other Shan literary scholars have been consulted to determine which type of number to use. Here are some examples of usage ၁၂၃ numbers. These are the historical records of the Chao Pha period. Thank you for your interest in Shan literature.

Shan Keyboard

Hello again,

User:Ninjastrikers asked me whether I can make a keyboard for Shan, and gave the SIL keyboard as an example.

The unshifted and shifted modes of that keyboard are mostly easy to make, although the signs ေ and ႄ will have to be typed after the consonant and not before it.

However, the Alt and Shift-Alt modes are quite hard. Our keyboard infrastructure doesn't really handle the Alt key well. Can you think of another mode to place these letters and signs? For example, instead of signs like !@#$%^&? Or something else?

Amir E. Aharoni (talk)19:03, 19 January 2022

If the Alt and Shift-Alt modes are difficult, you can only do the unshifted and shifted modes. We can type simple Shan text with unshifted and shifted modes. The Alt and Shift-Alt modes are designed for typing Shan Pali script. It is rarely used by ordinary people.
