translating webhook ?

An article exists at w:Webhook. It's a rather technical term, usually directed only at developers. In a specific application, it might have a more specific meaning which can be conveyed by other words, but a generic translation in French may not exist yet.

Great! thanks !

A webhook in web development is a method of augmenting or altering the behaviour of a web page, or web application; Webhooks are "user-defined HTTP callbacks".

So I will propose something like "point d'ancrage web" for FR in extenso translations.

A common translation for “hook” in web development is “crochet” (see https://glossaire.traduc.org/ for example) or sometimes “point d’entrée”.

“point d’ancrage” is a mix between the both translations, maybe a pretty good idea.

Depending of the context, we may use English word “hook” which is well-known (and commonly used) by all developers.

“web” should indeed stay “web” in French.
