About [[MediaWiki:Group-confirmed-member/es]]

Hi. When changing some userrights today at es.wikibooks I've found that the translation of MediaWiki:Group-confirmed-member/es is not correctly applied in Spanish. It appears in the logs as "usuario autoconfirmado (autoconfirmed user - enphasis added).

I've checked the messages here: MediaWiki:Grouppage-confirmed/es and MediaWiki:Group-member-confirmed/es; and over there MediaWiki:Group-confirmed-member and the translation seems correct; however in the logs it's using a bad translation:

  • 08:48 31 jul 2012 MarcoAurelio (discusión | contribuciones | bloquear) modificó los grupos a los que pertenece Usuario:Igna: de usuario autoconfirmado, revisor y reversor a (ninguno) (revirtiendo cambios) [1]

Is it possible to fix it?

Regards.

I think there is bug open for this in bugzilla.

The problem seems to come from MediaWiki:Group-autoreview-member/es which had a bad translation, grabbed from the automatic suggestions. I've fixed it. I hope it can be fixed in MediaWiki too (I did not used Special:Translate for that, just found the message, hit the edit button, etc.).

I also want to point out that there's a high number of spanish translations which are bad automatic translations, which is a problem. I do fix them when I encounter them. Most of what I fix are plain nonsenses, misplaced messages and so on. Most of them comes from the suggestion tool.

Regards.

Try out the proofreading mode, it will help to catch those.

Also, please check the history and give feedback to the authors of bad translations on their user talk, when you catch them.

Thanks both. I think I'll post at the Portal:Es page to alert all of them to stop trusting the automatic translator as if they were the Holy Word.
