Cannot edit https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Wikimedia:Commons-android-error-crash_dialog_comment_prompt/frr Error message: "translation not possible", but it is translated already. I just wanted to edit a typo. Any ideas?
Just found a solution: Translation with the new translation interface is possible: https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:Translate&group=out-wikimedia-mobile-0-all&language=frr&action=translate&filter=translated
See Special:Translate?group=out-wikimedia-mobile-commons-android-errors.
This page says "Translation to this language is disabled".
Hmm. Translating this product with TUX shouldn't be possible, and the error is expected. There is a whitelist in place, because android applications can only handle two letter language codes. "frr" is a three letter language code, and not in the list. It working on TUX is a bug.
This issue is tracked upstream. Technically it's possible to translate Android application with three letter codes here, but Android cannot do anything with them.
bugzilla:49898 tracks " It's sometimes possible to save translations in a blacklisted language".
