language problems
request messages split for different use cases; being handled on bugzilla:58449
I asked because I don't understand what you want to say with that picture. You want to use different words for each or some of the "Hide" buttons?
I think I have found the right messages. This is how I found them.
- I guessed you were looking the recentchanges page. On that page I added the string ?uselang=qqx to the end of the URL - see
https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&translations=filter&uselang=qqx (you need to use the secure login to see this page I think).
- You want to translate the messages "show" and "hide". However, these are quite hard to find so I put the string "MediaWiki:rcshowhidebots", which is also to be found on that page, in the search box in translatewiki.net. A list of all the language subpages for MediaWiki:rcshowhidebots appears under the search box and I chose one of those (any one will do). I got to the message page https://translatewiki.net/wiki/MediaWiki:Rcshowhidebots/alt
- Then I added ?tux=0 to the end of the URL. I used ?tux=0 to get into the old translation editor, because it loads the messages quicker than the new editor. (if an URL already has a ? in it then you type &tux=0 instead of ?tux=0.)
- At the top of the page you should see the tabs <<< message list >>>. Click on "message list". This takes you to the list of messages for the MediaWiki group.
- Then I chose "show all messages" and "show 5000 messages per page" and language "ce" and clicked on "Fetch". You should get this page when you do that
https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special%3ATranslate&taction=translate&group=mediawiki&language=ce&limit=5000&task=view Then I used the search feature in Firefox (Ctrl+f in Firefox) to search for the string "rcshowhide". A few messages below that you will find the messages "hide" and "show" which are the ones you are looking for, I think.
If you cannot reproduce any of the steps above please let me know, because understanding how to get to the answer is more important than getting the answer.
You could also have put the current message (the one spelled incorrectly) into the search box and clicked on the search button (the picture of a magnifying glass). That might have got you to the right place more quickly.
Whenever you want to switch back to the new translation editor, add ?tux=1 or &tux=1 after the URL on any page in translatewiki.net
There must be so (Къайлабаха цӀе хьулйина декъашхой) in other cases also have to write a word to shit in different ways
Aha. So the word "hide" is translated differently when used with Rcshowhideminor (“$1 minor edits
”) and Rcshowhidepatr (“$1 patrolled edits
”), than when used with the other links on Special:RecentChanges. How about the links on Special:WhatLinksHere?
So perhaps the messages "show" and "hide" should be split into different messages for all of the links where it is used.
Yes, you understood correctly, you can write the word hide in different ways depending on what you want to hide or edit the participants and then the desired new message or solve a problem like that on the other.
Might you be able to use GRAMMAR for this, if the messages show and hide had GRAMMAR enabled?
Yes, I want to do a few different words for the message that would not violate the grammar. It can be done?
It must be so Showed red as it should be, and wrote English close.
How about the "hide" links on Special:WhatLinksHere?
Thank you I'm new and do not know what to do as well as not speak English in this drudno I understand all this. Sorry.
Умар, can you or some other ce speaker clarify the grammatical problem you're encountering and where? The example above is one to consider too.
MediaWiki:Rcshowhideminor/ce Къайладаха (hide), MediaWiki:Rcshowhidebots/ce Къайлабаха (hide), MediaWiki:Rcshowhideanons/ce Къайлабаха (hide), MediaWiki:Rcshowhideliu/ce Къайлабаха (hide), MediaWiki:Rcshowhidemine/ce Къайладаха (hide) MediaWiki:Rcshowhidepatr/ce Къайладаха (hide). That is as it should be and we have only one message MediaWiki:Wikiastats hide/ce And to make things right Need more message in the Chechen language is not possible to write it in another word.I hope I realized I did not know English. Thank you.
