Filter out API messages?

There are soooo many API-specific messages, and they will only be read by a tiiiiiny fraction of the people who use MediaWiki. I'd like to focus on translating anything else, but as far as I know there's no way to do that. Would it be possible to implement something to filter them out from Special:Translate (and the stats at Special:LanguageStats)?

The same with the localized Wikimedia project names and other big projects. I would prefer a message prefix or message group filtering.
