Completing the important projects for Thai Wikipedia

Hi Taweetham!

Thank you very much for your translations into Thai! They are truly amazing.

I am sending this message to several active Thai translators with a little suggestion. The most important translation projects for users of Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects are MediaWiki core and Extensions used by Wikimedia - Main (which can be further broken down to many smaller extensions).

MediaWiki core is already quite close to 100% translation, and it would be great to bring it to 100% and always keep it there.

Extensions used by Wikimedia - Main is at 62% now, and it has important components like Visual Editor, Wikibase client (Wikidata), Math (formulas), Discussion Tools (talk pages), etc. I recommend bringing it to 100%.

The most efficient way to do it is that active translators will coördinate with each other. Each of you will pick several components to translate, bring them to 100%, and thanks to this parallel work, you'll quickly get everything to 100%. You can easily see the list of the components by clicking on the message group name, "Extensions used by Wikimedia - Main", on the translation page.

This was recently done in the Greek language, and it was very successful.

Good luck! :) Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 00:24, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
