Welcome to Betawiki!

Hi Shinjiman. Welcome to Betawiki. Before you can use Special:Translate, and Special:Magic, please request translator rights at Betawiki:Translators. Please create a user page on which you describe which language(s) you will be working on. If you are going to be an active user here, please also add your name to the languages you will be working on at Translating:Languages. For an overview of the languages that are being worked on here, you can have a look at Translating:Developer log. Other useful pages can be Support and Import requests.

Once you have started translating, please remember to often request a commit of your translation work at Translating:Tasks. This makes the number of changes easier to handle for the devs.

I wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Cheers! SPQRobin 13:50, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

'Portal' instead of 'Project'

My bad, sorry. I fixed it right away. Cheers! Siebrand 07:43, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

--Shinjiman 00:20, 3 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
那麼,我或許該將一樣的東西刪掉?又或者你的建議如何? --BobChao (Talk to me!) 05:05, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

wiki.moztw.org

感謝關心,我們另一邊有個 wiki-beta 網站是最新版的 mediawiki,舊的站在協調後會將內容整個 import 進新站。 :) --BobChao (Talk to me!) 05:05, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reaching the target for MediaWiki most used core messages

Hi, Shinjiman.

As you probably know, in Betawiki, there is a group of MediaWiki messages considered essential for a minimum localization to any language. That group is called MediaWiki core message (most used). When a language reaches at a translation level of at least 98% of these messages, it is considered to have the essential localization. As of end of March, there were 95 of the 311 languages at this level and it would be great the increase that number further. As Classical Chinese is currently at 95.72%, very little effort would be needed to reach 98%, or even better, 100%. Therefore, I would like to invite you to complete the missing translations and make Classical Chinese be part of the list of essentialy localized languages.

Thanks for your attention and best regards, Malafaya 14:12, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Where did you go?

You suddenly vanished into thin air... Miss you! Siebrand 16:29, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removing zh-tw

If you can get me a list of page names, I can put SieBot to work, so that you do not have to do everything by hand... Siebrand 17:54, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

That's a more convenient way to removing the dupes. I didn't see any maintenance scripts or extensions that can be done for this kind of tasks. Just deleting the zh-TW dupes which are identical to zh-Hant is fine. :) Shinjiman 18:39, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hmm, I see no way to do that with pywikipediabot... Is there a way to get me a list of page names easily, or can you give me an sql query that would give me the page names? Siebrand 18:57, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Just done by make a simple PHP script, the dupes are listed on User:Shinjiman/Dupes. :) Shinjiman 19:43, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Excellent. That will work; will be done within a few hours - doing other stuff now. Siebrand 19:47, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fuzzy checks for zh-hans/zh-hant/yue/lzh

Hi Shinjiman. The localisations for zh-hans, zh-hant and yue still have a lot of fuzzy tags. Could you please clean those up?

If additional check blacklist entries have to be made, please let me known. If the current message is OK, please just remove the !!FUZZY!! marking and save. Cheers! Siebrand 19:34, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done on core which are not require for change (de-fuzzing), other messages on core that require to update are done on mwr:53106. Shinjiman 09:17, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re: 你/妳

The original string ({{GENDER:你|妳|你}}) is completely incorrect. It means getting the gender of User:你. And I'm not sure whether "妳" is correct. --Liangent 03:38, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Maybe it should be {{GENDER:|你|妳|你}}--Liangent 03:47, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
