Thriving
Hi,
This edit changes the meaning from "thriving" to "expanding". It's related, but not identical. If it's OK with you, it's OK with me, but I wanted to be certain. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 15:29, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks @Amire80, the change in emphasis was deliberate. Peter Coombe (WMF) (talk) 16:19, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks!
- Is it specific for Hebrew, or are other languages affected?
- Perhaps you should document it in some public place to avoid future confusion. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 17:16, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- We have it in our internal documentation we share with fundraising translators, but I added it to the message documentation here as well. Peter Coombe (WMF) (talk) 17:20, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. And where does this particular Hebrew word come from? The current word is literally "expanding". For "growing", as the qqq documentation says, I'd use something else. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 15:21, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Amire80 If I'm reading the Google Doc history correctly (under heading Payments Wiki), the Hebrew word came from you :) "Expanding" is correct, I added it to the qqq documentation. Peter Coombe (WMF) (talk) 14:29, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

Subscription
Hi,
This edit changed a correct spelling to an incorrect one, so I reverted it. Where does it that change come from? Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 15:24, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Amire80 It's in this Google doc (under the heading Unsubscribe Payments Wiki) and you commented there saying you supported that change. Maybe that word got edited in the Google Doc after your comment though. Peter Coombe (WMF) (talk) 14:19, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
Address
This edit added the word "כתובת", which means "address". It doesn't appear in the English message, so it's not so necessary. More importantly, even if it was necessary, it would have to be used with the definite article because the grammar requires it, so I reverted it.
Sometimes it's useful to add explicit words like "page", "user", "site", "email address", etc., before a name in Hebrew translations, even if it doesn't appear in the English original, but here it seems unnecessary. Is there a Hebrew speaker who thought that it is necessary? Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 15:31, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Amire80 Same location in the Google Doc as above. It's been hard to keep track of edits in Hebrew to be honest, as our proofreader edited the document directly rather than making suggestions as comments. It sounds good to leave the word out, I'll update the document too. Peter Coombe (WMF) (talk) 14:23, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
