User talk:Landais
Welcome to Betawiki!
Hi Landais. Welcome to Betawiki. Before you can use Special:Translate, and Special:Magic, please request translator rights at Betawiki:Translators. Please create a user page on which you describe which language(s) you will be working on. If you are going to be an active user here, please also add your name to the languages you will be working on at Translating:Languages. For an overview of the languages that are being worked on here, you can have a look at Translating:Developer log. Other useful pages can be Support and Import requests.
Once you have started translating, please remember to often request a commit of your translation work at Translating:Tasks. This makes the number of changes easier to handle for the devs.
I wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Cheers! Meno25 03:32, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Use Esperanto when no io translation | 4 | 09:01, 16 January 2017 |
Hello, thanks for your translations into io. Can you please check this proposal to show less English to the users who choose io as their interface language? Thanks.
When no io translation, English is a better choice than Esperanto for the users who choose Ido as their interface language. Esperanto and Ido are now very different languages !
Yes of course! Who gave you the idea of replacing English by Esperanto? I found that of the 9 contributors who approved this idea, 7 are Esperantists confirmed according to their Babel user information, of which only 1 has a low knowledge of Ido. One can therefore ask questions about the real motivation of their choice. The Idist community that I frequent since 2003, does not accept this decision according to the reactions exchanged in the Yahoo groups. It is easy to understand, Ido being a reform of the Esperanto elaborated in 1907. Since these two languages have diverged much. The small core of vocabulary that remains to them in common can not justify the decision you made and which seems partisan in view of the Babel user information of those who approved it. It is preferable to return to the previous situation with English which will pose less problem until the translation in Ido progresses.
