Credit Officer ?

Is this the same as the Loan Officer ? Or is it a more generic term qualifying any intermediary agent to negociate Savings products AND Loan products ? Or is is someone that is in charge of managing the source funds between a center and a parent center ? or with local donators ? or to help selling/promoting the products made by clients to help them fulfill their obligations ? or to scrutinize and audit the accounts and operations owned by clients and centers (possibly accounts reported by child centers or loan officers) ?
