About French translation to Codev

An issue has come up with the French translation of the Codev project. Briefly: the developer does not want to use the translations from translatewiki.net for French [1]. I am not sure what to do now. I am considering disabling translation to French here. What do you think?

Is it the correct developer ? You seem to point to a personal fork, the original being maintained in "https://github.com/lbayle/codev", not "https://github.com/mantisbt-plugins/codev" The French translations were correctly loaded 4 days ago in the original: https://github.com/lbayle/codev/tree/master/i18n/locale

https://github.com/mantisbt-plugins/codev is the official location. The translations are currently being committed but not used.

For sure, if Translatewiki.net translations are not used, they should be disabled: translators should not spend time to translate strings which would never be used.

So there's a conflict between two maintainers ? The "official" one being in fact a fork that its maintainer no longer wants to update. But as the original is still maintained (and apparently used), can we really say that these translations are not used ? This is a problem from the MantisBT project, that decided to use an unmaintained version of Codev, and may be MantisBT could change its policy and decide to create rits own separate fork of CodeV to effectively use these translations.
