CitationHunt

Hi. I am trying to adopt CitationHunt to Turkish Wikipedia but I really don't know how to do it :( As far as I can see, the content has already been translated into Turkish and there is not much things to do. Can you help me?--Rapsar (talk) 11:26, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi! You're right, it looks like all strings are translated, so the next step is to write some configuration for Citation Hunt. This is pretty easy, but it's a more technical step and requires navigating the code a little. You can try it yourself if you're comfortable with that, or leave it to me :)

In any case, we'll need the following information about the Turkish Wikipedia:

  • A link to an introductory article/tutorial on adding citations
  • If there's a policy on omitting citations in the lead section (like WP:CITELEAD for English), a link to that policy
  • The names of templates that Citation Hunt should look for. It seems the main one for Turkish is Kaynak_belirt (plus its alternate names), but in some Wikipedias it also makes sense to look for other similar templates. For example, in French we look for Citation needed, Inédit, Refnec and a few others, so please let me know if this applies here

So, if you're interested in trying the technical bits yourself, please file an issue on GitHub with that information, and I'll be happy to help you there. Otherwise, feel free to just reply here and I'll get to it in a few weeks (there are a couple of languages that I need to do first).

Thanks!
