Hello, and please excuse the English. My name is Erica and I am a community liaison for the visual editor at the Wikimedia Foundation.

I'm contacting you today as you are proficient in Amharic, to ask you some time-sensitive help with translations related to the visual editor, here and at Mediawiki.org. I'm therefore providing this little table, hoping it can make the work easier for you, and please do not hesitate to contact me immediately if you need any further information. I'd like to thank you in advance for what you will do and for the invaluable support you will provide to the Amharic wikimedian community! (Please feel free to forward this message to other community members who may be equally interested or able to contribute.)

Best,

Great work!

You are doing great work. Thank you! I will do my best to get Amharic supported in MantisBT for version 1.2.0 as you reached over 40% of the core translated. See bottom of Special:LanguageStats/am.

I have no idea what kind of connectivity you have, but if your internet access is expensive, you may want to look into Translating:Offline. This will allow you to download one or more files with work to translate, and you will only have to be online to upload your work done, and download new work files. Please reply here to let me know if that is something for you.

Thank you Siebrand, It is good to know the project and contribute. I am a PhD student in University of Limerick, Ireland. I will do my best to complete the translation. Most of the time i might be busy with my work, even though I will try to manage. My connectivity is very good compared to my country. I will tell my Ethiopian Free and Open Source Software Network(EFOSSNet) guys to participate offline.

Thank You
