MediaWiki:Globalblocking-blocked modification request
I do not know if this is the right place to ask that the message "MediaWiki:Globalblocking-blocked" (meta) be modifyied so that it includes in the block message the IP address or the IP range blocked. When we receive requests from globally blocked users at meta, we have no way to know which block or rangeblock is affecting them and therefore we need to delay requests, asking for more information, etc. It could read as:
Your IP address has been blocked on all wikis by '''$1''' (''$2'').
The reason given was ''"$3"''.
The block ''$4''.
Your IP address is "$5" and the block ID is "$6", please include all this information on every request you make regarding this global block.
The IP and the block ID is important to be known, so that we can properly help them.
A thought: We should probably create a message like that only for Wikimedia since currently globally blocked users can only edit meta.wikimedia.org and we should direct him there for appealing their global blocks. So, appart for that information, we could add links to the relevant metawiki pages for global block appealings.
