Request for feedback on my GSoC'14 proposal

Hi RobertL,

I am planning to work on the project titled "Tools for mass migration of legacy translated wiki content" this summer under Google Summer of Code. I have drafted a proposal for the same over the past few weeks. This project is going to help the translation adminstrators like you in a great way, as it would completely automate the tedious manual task of preparing a page for translation and then importing the translations into the Translate extension. You can check the proposal page for detailed information on how I plan to accomplish this.

As you would be an end user of this tool, it would be great if you could go through the proposal and provide feedback/suggestions. Your feedback would definitely help me improve the proposal as well help in creating an even better tool. You can do the same on the discussion page of the proposal or reply here, whichever is convenient for you. I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you!

P.S: I need to submit the proposal to Google by March 19, 2014.

Hi Robert, there a few translation files in /i18n folder of pywikibot which aren't imported to twn yet. How to proceed? Greetings Xqt (talk) 15:50, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Please use Support. Robert is no longer active here or in MediaWiki development. Please also be more precise when bringing it up on Support.

Macedonian not on Europeana!

Hello, Robert. I already wrote to Siebrand about this, but I thought it would be good to mention it here too. I visited the site of Europeana and I was dismayed to see many different languages, but not Macedonian (mk), even though I was among the first to be translated. Why is this happening? You can see, there are many different languages there, including Bulgarian, but I can't see Macedonian among them. Any idea why this is happening and how it can be remedied?

Translations have not yet been exported from translatewiki.net to Europeana, we are still coordinating this with them. The reason you see a few existing languages is that they were originally translated by Europeana themselves.

I will let you know as soon as we have exported the latest batch of translations.

openLayers in Romanian

Hi,

How can one add Romanian to the languages supported by openLayers? Thanks.--Strainu 10:20, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

You should just be able to translate the messages in Romanian, and when I next do an export it will be included with the messages in OpenLayers. See the translate page.

Will be good idea to make HTML tags XHTML-complaint. Probably same should be doe in other messages.
